In an effort to comply with CDC social distancing recommendations and the stay at home orders issued by the California Governor and mayor of Fresno, we are closing our offices to the public (except under limited circumstances, see below paragraph regarding scheduling tax appointments) effective March 18, 2020 until further notice. Rest assured that our established protocols and available technology will allow us to provide the same level of service and quality you expect from Dedekian, George, Small & Markarian during this time.
As a reminder, you can upload your tax documents on our website (www.cpaplus.com) anytime from anywhere using the Send A File button located on the home page. You can also access your client portal using the Client Portal button on our website or by visiting (https://www.cpaplus.sharefile.com). Your return can be reviewed, signed and submitted via RightSignature. You will receive an email from RightSignature when your 8879 forms are prepared for your signature.
If you are unable to access the client portal or are unable to send your files to our office electronically through the Send A File button on our website, please call our office at (559) 431-5500 and we can make arrangements with you to receive your documentation. Meetings will be held virtually or by telephone, and your accountant will reach out to you to determine which method works best for you. In-person meetings can be accommodated if necessary.
As a reminder, the Federal and California state tax filing and payment deadline has been extended to July 15. If you’re anticipating a refund, please continue to submit your documents timely to ensure a maximum refund. At this time, we are awaiting federal and state clarification regarding the payment due dates for 2020 estimated tax payments. We will inform you once those due dates are made clear.
There is also COVID-19 relief legislation that has been enacted into law by the President. We have posted information on to our website regarding the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and information on the SBA Disaster Assistance Loan program for qualified small businesses. As more enacted legislation regarding COVID-19 becomes available, we will put the information on our website for you to review.
